We believe the Town of Camden should be known for its quality of life, its lack of suburban and urban woes, its incredible beauty and natural features, its connection to the sea, its rich tapestry of community and cultural activities and institutions, its recreational components, and, most of all, its connected community. Such features cannot be compromised for development; rather, efforts to stimulate and promote development should seek to preserve and enhance the area and its special attributes.

CAFG is a non-profit organization that supports activities that are in the long-term interest of the Camden, Maine area and that will help it achieve desired economic development. Our aim is to build consensus about local issues and to support projects that achieve the economic and community goals of the citizen approved comprehensive plan and envisions a vibrant and viable year-round Camden community.
MeetingsThe Camden Area Futures Group is currently available to undertake new projects but is not holding regular meetings. The Downtown Cinema Project committee, however, remains active.
